This large abstract painting was inspired by the book “Overstory” by Richard Powers.
It’s a book about connection.
Connection among the breathing trees.
Connection among the people.
Connection among all things.

In a time where connection is threatened by constant distractions, it was liberating to create this artwork that represents the simple, but sometimes painful truth of life. Whether you see ocean ripples or tree rings, it’s meant to illustrate the consciousness (third eye) within nature (including you and I). There’s a deep sadness when we lose sight of what truly matters, but that doesn’t mean we can’t come back to it.

I hope this piece brings a calm reminder that you can always come back to it- to that slow, trusting connection with all living things, and with yourself
